This scholarship will cover many things, including tuition fees and other expenses. The amount given to each student will depend on the exchange rate of the Naira at the time.

Who Can Apply?

To apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be from the Niger Delta region.

   • This means you must come from  Niger Delta.

2. You must have a Bachelor's Degree.

   • Your degree must be from a recognised university.

   • You must have at least a First Class, Second Class Upper, or a Lower Division Bachelor Degree.

3. You must not be older than 40 years.

   • If you are older than 40 years, you are not qualified.

4. Your course of study must be in one of these fields:

• Agricultural Science

• Engineering

• Environmental Science

• Geosciences

• Information Technology

• Medical Sciences

• Law

• Architecture

How to Apply

Applying for the NDDC scholarship is simple if you follow these steps:

1. Go to the NDDC website (www.nddc.gov.ng).

2. Fill out the online application form.

3. Upload the required documents. These include:

   • A recent passport photograph

   • Local Government Identification Letter

   • Admission letter from a recognised foreign university

   • Your degree certificate

   • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate

4. Submit your application.

After submitting your form, you will receive a registration number. You should print the acknowledgement slip and keep it safe.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is April 21, 2025.

This means that you have until that date to complete and submit your application.

Selection Process

The selection process for this scholarship is very competitive. Below is how it works:

1. Initial Application:

2. Shortlisting:

   • NDDC will check your documents.

   • They will shortlist candidates based on:

     • WASSCE or NECO results

     • Your undergraduate degree classification

     • Your Local Government Identification

3. Computer-Based Test (CBT):

   • If you are shortlisted, you will take a test.

   • The test will be conducted by NDDC’s consultants.

4. Minimum Score Requirement:

   • You must score at least 70 percent to move to the next stage.

5. Further Shortlisting:

   • If you pass the test, you will be shortlisted again.

6. Final Verification:

• NDDC will verify your information.

• They will confirm your details through your Local Government Area and Community Development Committee.

Important Notes

• The NDDC will not contact you if you are not shortlisted.

• If you fail the test, you will not move to the next stage.

• Preference will be given to students from Oil Producing Communities.

• You cannot defer the scholarship or change your course or institution.

How to Know If You Are Selected

If you are selected, your name will be published on the NDDC website (www.nddc.gov.ng). If you see your name, it means you have been shortlisted, and you will need to prepare for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
